In 1884, according to a map by engineer Julio Paredo, the street for this building was called “Batán”, where a cardboard factory was constructed. Later, towards the end of the 19th century, the building served as a hostel/inn, which was convenient given the three neighboring taverns frequented by the mule caravan traders transporting cargo along the route from Guadalajara to Zacatecas.En the 1940, this area was known as the "Antigua Vecindad de la calle Aldama" and was overseen by the father of the current owner Attn.
